If you are an innovated thinker, dedicated to the advancement of forensic science, then membership in the International Academy of Forensic Professionals (IAFP) is for you. Multi disciplinary in its reach, IAFP globally represents forensic professionals and offers its members a wealth of resources.
MEMBER CATEGORIES AND COST
The International Academy of Forensic Professionals offers categories of membership to any individual or group after completion and acceptance of the application and the Academy’s terms of membership. The Board may decline membership without assigning any reason. Membership dues are non-refundable.
The five categories of membership are: (1) Professional, (2) Group, (3) Lifetime, (4) Honorary and (5) Founders. The Board of Directors has the criteria for each category of membership.
Individual Professional Member
Professional members are certified, licensed, or directly involved in forensic disciplines, such as fire investigations, social workers, registered nurses, law enforcement, researchers, psychologists, physicians, EMTs, educators, coroners, and death investigators, etc. Annual membership entitles the holder to all of the benefits and privileges granted by IAFP. Membership is valid for one year. Dues: $67 per year
Group Professional Member
Educational Institutions, law enforcement, hospitals, vendors and other organizations that would like to officially align and support the IAFP mission. Membership entitles the holder to all of the benefits and privileges granted by IAFP. Membership is valid for one year. In order to qualify for group membership, applicants must all join at the same time. Dues: variable (see below)
Group Membership Dues: 1-6 members, $67.00 per person, 7-12 individual memberships, $57.00 per person. For group memberships of more than thirteen individuals, or for more information of any kind, contact our corporate office at (760.322.9925).
Lifetime Membership entitles the holder to all of the benefits and privileges granted to professional members by IAFP for life, or until the member relinquishes membership. Dues: $1500 one-time commitment
Honorary membership is a distinction reserved for individuals who contribute exceptional service to the field of forensic science. Eligibility for honorary member status shall be based upon nomination and confirmation by a majority vote of the Board of Directors. Honorary member status entitles the bearer to all benefits and privileges granted to other professional members of IAFP for life, or until the member relinquishes membership. Membership dues are not required.
The special status of Founding Member is granted to members who are responsible for the initial creation of the International Academy of Forensic Professionals. This special status is valid for the lifetime of the member. Founding Members are eligible for all benefits and privileges of IAFP for life. There are four founding members.
